The EU Commission is preparing to
propose the opening of the first group of negotiating chapters,
or "clusters," on Ukraine's accession to the General Affairs
Council on June 16. The meeting comes before the EU leaders'
summit on June 18-19, during which they will be able to express
their views on the proposal. This is according to multiple
sources in Brussels. According to the European portal
Euractiv.com, there will be a proposal to establish Moldova's
first "cluster." The appointment of Peter Magyar as head of the
Budapest government has also contributed to the acceleration. A
meeting between Magyar and Volodymyr Zelensky could be scheduled
in early June.
